Chequamagon-Nicolet
National Forest cross-country ski trails require a
parking sticker to park your vehicle at the trail heads.
These stickers may be obtained from the National Forest
offices in Eagle River or Florence. |
The Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources requires a park
entrance sticker on your vehicle at state park
trailheads. These can be obtained at any WDNR office. |
Anvil Lake Trail:
12-miles, groomed,
traditional and ski skating, trailhead is located in
Nicolet National Forest about 9-miles from Eagle River. |
Conover School Trail:
6.5 miles,
traditional, trailhead is located 1-mile south of
Conover on Hwy 45. |
Ed's Lake Trail:
6-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located in Nicolet
National Forest between Crandon and Wabeno. |
Escanaba Trail:
7.5 miles,
groomed, traditional (intermediate/expert only),
trailhead is located at Escanaba Lake Check-in Station
about 8-miles from Sayner. A WDNR Park Entry Sticker is
required on your vehicle. |
Jones Spring Trail:
11-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located in the
Nicolet National Forest near Townsend. |
Langley Lake Trail:
5.3 miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is 7-miles west of
Conover on Hwy K. |
Lakewood Trail:
9-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located in Nicolet
National Forest about 15-miles from Florence. |
Lumberjack Trail:
10-miles,
groomed, traditional, one trailhead is 1-mile east of
Boulder Junction taking Old Hwy K, then on Concora Road.
The other trailhead is 7-miles east of Boulder Junction
on Nixon Lake Road. |
Madeline Lake Trail:
9.5 miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located from Woodruff
on Hwy J, then Rudolph Road. Requires WDNR Park Entry
Sticker on your vehicle. |
McNaughton Trail:
7-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located 11-miles
south of Woodruff on Hwy 47, then on Kildare Road. |
Nordmarka Trail:
6-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located by Eagle
River Golf Course about 1/2-mile from Eagle River north
on Hwy 45. |
Nicolet North Trail:
15-miles,
groomed, traditional and ski-skating, (connects to
Anvil Lake Trail), trailhead is located in Nicolet
National Forest about 15-miles from Eagle River. |
Perch Lake Trail:
1.3 miles,
traditional, trailhead is located in Nicolet National
Forest about 11-miles from Florence. |
Phelps Trail:
2-miles
(11-miles with connection to Afterglow Trail), groomed,
traditional (expert only), trailhead is located in
Nicolet National Forest about 1-mile from Phelps. |
Powell Marsh Trail:
8.5-miles,
not groomed, trailhead is located about 8-miles from
Mercer on Hwy 47 to Powell Road, then about 1/2-mile. |
Raven Trail:
6.5-miles,
groomed, traditional, from Woodruff on Hwy 47 to
Woodruff Road until the trailhead is reached. WDNR Park
Entry Sticker is required on your vehicle. |
Razorback Ridges Trail:
12-miles,
groomed, traditional and ski-skating, trailhead starts
at McKay's Store about 3-miles from Sayner. |
Schlect Trail:
7-miles,
groomed, traditional, trailhead is located 1.5-miles
south of Minoqua on Hwy 51, then on Leary Road.

traditional, trailhead is located from Eagle River on
Hwy G to Found Lake Road. |
Ski Hill Trail:
5-miles, traditional, trailhead is
located 5-miles north of Eagle River, off Hwy 45. |
Three Lakes Trail:
4.5-miles,
groomed, traditional and ski-skating, trailhead is
located at high school parking lot in Three Lakes. |
