Carl Yanke
Residency: Mid 1960's
Carl
purchased The Dutch Door (The Boxer) and renamed it Carl's Dutch
Door. He became a sort of local hero to many during the "Mobile
Home that Beat the Town"
incident. After several years he sold the tavern to
Carl Brent,
remained in the area for a few years, then moved to Arizona.

Elaine Young
Residency: 1990
Elaine originally came here from Green Bay, WI. She married
Lyle Young and worked with home
health care until she retired.

Joseph Young
Residency: 1978
Joe purchased the Anchor Inn on Little St. Germain Lake in
1978. He ran the Anchor Inn until 1984 when he sold it to Bob
(last name unknown) and bought the
Peacock. He ran the Peacock
until 1995, then sold it to
Cherie and
Anna Anderson, who changed the
name to Sisters Saloon. Joe then worked as a courier for Howard
Young Hospital until he retired.

Lyle Young
Residency: 1978
Lyle was an avid fisherman and his boat with "Lakes of the
North" on the sides was often seen on Big St. Germain (his
favorite lake). He was also an ardent bow hunter. His first
wife, Mary, passed away many years ago from cancer. Years
later, he married
Elaine. Lyle died of a heart
condition in the late 1990's. He was cremated and the location
of his ashes are unknown.
