Paul Manhardt
Residency: 1920
Paul Manhardt was born in
Milwaukee, WI

Sept. 24,
1885 and ran a barber shop and bowling alley in
that city. He came to Vilas
County

purchased the William Radue summer home on Big St.
Germain Lake. This was on part of the land that
also held Radue's Resort.
William had sold the resort part to a person
who's last name was Voek. Nothing else is
known about Voeke. In 1923 Paul purchased
Voek's Resort (Radue's
Resort) which had been built by
William Radue.
This consisted of a main lodge and four
cottages, which Paul renamed Clear View Lodge
(in time Clear View merges together into one
word).
Date deceased 1954

During the surgery it was found that a sponge had been

the balm of money will sooth it over."
Yes, he said, "sewer," and spelled it this way. He
